Our hidden gem of a Kindergarten, tucked behind St John’s Lutheran Church is well cared for and provides a safe learning environment for children. We provide individual attention and care.

We are licensed to operate under the Office for Early Childhood Education and Care; and are affiliated with The Gowrie (Qld) Inc.  This ensures the quality of the Centre’s facilities and that it’s programs are maintained at a high standard.

Fees and Subsidies

2023 Fees – $1125 per term

Our Experienced Staff

Kate Shapcott

Director/Teacher/Educational Leader

Kate has a Bachelor of Arts (UQ), a Graduate Diploma in Education (Child Care) (USQ) and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning (USQ).

Kate has worked in a wide variety of leadership roles in the Early Childhood Sector and commenced her role with the Corinda Community Kindergarten in 2020.

Kate is an active member of the Early Childhood Teacher’s Association and is passionately interested in children’s literature. Kate believes that play is the natural way for young children to learn. Her goal is to excite their natural drive to learn and explore and to provide opportunities for them to do this through the Kindergarten Program.

Dianne Kay

Assistant Educator

Dianne completed a Diploma of Community Services (Children’s Services) whilst working as a Family Day Care provider. She initially worked as Special Needs Assistant before becoming Assistant Educator at Corinda Christian Kindergarten in 2005. Dianne’s ongoing contribution to the Kindergarten has been invaluable.

Linda Lowe

Relief Teacher

Linda has a Diploma of Teaching, Early Childhood. Linda has worked in many different Early Childhood roles: State preschools, C&K, and Gowrie Kindergartens, TAFE Lecturing and Tutoring, Family Day Care, Additional Needs and Long Day Care. For 12 years  Linda was the Director and Co-Director of Corinda Community Kindergarten and we are very lucky to have her on our team as Relief Teacher.

Anne Riachi

Administrative Assistant

Anne has had many years of accounts/payroll experience within the Kindergarten sector and has worked part time for Corinda Community Kindergarten for many years. Anne’s considerable  experience supports the Kindergarten immensely.
